Greetings! I am a nominee under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). My National Occupational Classification (NOC) code was 41220 (Secondary School Teachers). However, this NOC is listed under the excluded occupations for the SINP-Express Entry sub-category. Consequently, I have chosen NOC 41210 (College and Other Vocational Instructors), as both roles share similar responsibilities. While my EE NOC is 41220, I am curious to know if this difference in NOCs could lead to the rejection of my application by the Federal Government. Could you please advise? Thank you!

If you are a nominee then what SINP program did you receive EOI and applied for? If EE, your NOCs must match. Not sure why your NOC would be as a secondary school teacher, if you are not one but teach in a college.

I am fully aware that both NOCs should be the same. But here’s the case, NOC 41220 is in the excluded occupation list so I can’t use it in my SINP application. With that, I chose NOC 41210 as my intended occupation in my SINP application since both jobs share the same roles and responsibilities.

So change your EE profile. You are saying you are not a secondary school teacher but a college instructor. When did you get SINP ITA since you are a nominee?
