Hello,
can I apply for MPNP thru Exploratory Visit if I'm currently working on temporary work permit in another province?

You can but you will lose points for studying or working outside the province. Also it states,

Eligibility criteria to participate in visits and missions are subject to change but generally include that you

  • are between the ages of 21 to 45
  • can satisfy the MPNP that you do not have a stronger connection to another province

Did you work in another province? If so you lose 100 points.
Did you study in another province? If so, you lose 100 points.
Hi Hope you are doing well

Just got a question about my friend's situation

She got approved for study permit in BC. Now she moved to Manitoba, but she is not getting any college until Jan 2025 intake in Manitoba. So, She is thinking to do 6 month any filler program to just keep her full time student status, afterwards she will start her studies in Manitoba. That filler course is online but it will be from one of BC schools.

So, She will still lose 100 points? Her recent study will be from Manitoba and will apply pnp on the basis of the Manitoba study.

Your response will appreciated.

So she studied in BC with the school on her study permit?

She is still planning to do an online 6-month course from BC, but her actual program will start in Manitoba in Jan 2025.
So she is studying at the school on her study permit for one semester in BC? That counts as studying in another province. Her permit is for BC.

If one apply as a family, does this rule applies to main applicant or both?

lets say one spouse worked in another province before Manitoba, but the other one didn’t and they want to apply together, not employed one will be the main applicant.

Who is the main applicant? Has the main applicant worked and studied outside Manitoba.
