I have my wife's parents flying in for a visit.
The mother has supervisa type of visa (PG-1 on the visa)
The Father has V-1

The mother has been about 2 years with us before and during COVID.

But now since she's coming for a short 3 months visit:
  1. Must she buy a medical insurance? I suppose she does.
  2. Is 3 months traveller insurance sufficient? Must it also be 100k minimum coverage?
  3. Or must she get a full 1 year supervisa insurance, getting refund later when she flies out?

For point # 1 foreign nationals should purchase medical insurance REGARDLESS of how long they are in Canada ?
You do realize a simple stay in an hospital can run into tens of thousands of dollars ?
Can bankrupt a person

Yes, but I'm trying to figure out. As I said whether I need to buy one year full insurance for her to enter the country or regular 3 months traveler insurance will suffice.

Yes, based on my research for super visa insurance, it's a one year contract but some insurance companies allow for monthly payment while some allow for refund of the unused part it they won't stay for the whole year (of course, less administrativefees). Just discuss the situation with the insurance company and hear what they allow.
