Work Permit extension is taking too long

So I applied for extension for protected person open work permit on January and now almost 100 days and no updates. That is my second extension, my first one took only 3 weeks. is there anyone else having the same issue ?

Hi,
I’ve applied for extension April 22nd. Next day I received the letter says that they’ve extended my wp for 6 months. I mean during the process. I don’t know how long it’s going to take. Do they approve 1 year or 2 years for extension?
