Yes, they requested an updated background declaration and police certificates.
We are in Peru, the application was sent to Sidney NS.

It does seem to be quite unpredictable in this category! Seems to be a bunch of us stuck in background check awaiting a final decision.

Did they ever request additional documents from you or an updated background declaration or police check?

Just received a medical request and pre-arrival letter. To recap:

Submitted: 2020/10/19
Received AOR: 2021/01/15
Received Biometrics request: 2023/03/23
Submitted Biometrics: 2023/03/27
Medical Request and pre-arrival letter: 2024/04/20

I've booked the medical for next week.

So, judging from the rest of the forum this should mean that the conditional offer of PR is about a month away?

A month away? Where did you see that? We did our Medicals in December 2023 and haven’t heard a peep since. No PAL either.

But it’s great news that things are moving along for you!

I just see a few examples here of peeps getting CoPR roughly a month after the pre arrival letter. Canadawill is one, and a couple others.

Not holding my breath, will keep you posted

congratulations, so, you have not been asked for an interview?
I finished my medical exam a week ago. they sent me a pre-arrival letter alongside the medical request. now my GCkey account shows medical passed and the status "Final decision". I think If your travel history was not crowded then yes we are so close at this stage.

Congratulations!! I think getting the PAL is a good sign! Did you ever receive a request for additional documents?

I passed my medical & submitted ADR back in January & still no PAL or final decision. Not sure what the hold up is? Possibly stuck in background check but really hoping to hear something by the end of May!!

I submitted my initial application a month before yours, and did biometrics a month after you, so hopefully not too far behind!

Some good news today! I have just received my pre-arrival services letter

Full timeline:
Application received - 12/24/20
Permanent AOR + Biometrics request -5/12/23
Biometrics submitted - 5/16/23
Medical Request + ADR - 1/15/24
Medical Passed - 1/30/24
PAL - today

I have a feeling I’m finally close to a decision after 40 months!
