Hi,

I am PR in Canada and my Citizenship application is in process. My background is Philipino. Recently, my sister and her husband were killed in a political issue. I am afraid for my niece and nephew. I want to bring them to Canada as soon possible. My niece is 24 years old, physiotherapist and working in a hospital. Her English language skills very good. My nephew is 17 years old and he is in high school. His English language skills are good.
What is the best way to bring them to Canada as soon as possible?

Thanks.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your niece can look into immigration programs like Express Entry or she can study in Canada. Or she can come as a visitor. You may be able to sponsor your nephew as he is under 18. If not an option, he can study her as an international student.

But don't know how to spell it? Hmm.
You got that right. This story seems a bit peculiar. In all other posts, this member speaks of being from Afghanistan. Any ties to the "Filippiines" (the home of "Philipinos") seem tenuous.

Sister and brother "killed in a political issue"? What does that mean? I have spent months in the Philippines in recent years and lived there for a few years awhile back. It's been some time since there has been any unusual amount of "political unrest" there. Nonetheless, it's open and notorious that getting involved in politics in the RP can be risky. Political rivalry can lead to some unpleasant consequences.
