Has anyone take the fingerprint through local police station? Would that be more of the headache than fingerprint company?

Many police stations doesnt do fingerprint service, just go to private accredited fingerprint company

According to the tracker:

Dec 2023 applicants:

• Background: 12%
• Citizenship test: 64%
• Oath: 3%

Jan 2024 applicants:

• Background: 60%
• Citizenship test: 65%
• Oath: 6%

Did they just skip Dec applicants or smtg Lol ?

What I've been trying to say. That alone moves their applications further along than ours too since LPP can be completed together once background is done.

Nov. 2023 applicants (also got test invite before background) and in mid/late Feb.2024 they got a lot of background updates and the good news ig is they got LPP right after background check ~week or so

so hoepfelly for us it would be early April or so

So I called IRCC last week to have an update on my application and the kind agent replied that everything is done but background is in progress. When I asked for detail about the parts of background he said that the Criminality has passed but they are still working on the Security Screening.
For timeline please see my signature. I know quite a few applicants from Mississauga office who are stuck on Background. So ig such applicants should call IRCC and inquire about their application if possible.

Unfortunately there is no clearly defined timeline for each stage of the application. Some gets update of BC the next day after FP received, some after a week or after a month..

In my case, my spouse fingerprints were received on February 20 and no update ever since. So yeah, it is random indeed in terms of time it can take.
