Any Updates?

I got a ghost update on my file yesterday on March 4,2024 on the status checker we applied on Feb 10, 2023 from Yemen and our file is being processed at the LVO may God punish them!!!!

Same situation.

Just received rejection for visit visa application for my spouse today. Visit Visa communication came from Visa office in UAE.

Hoping to get some update by Friday this week on the Sponsorship application.

You never got biometrics or medical request letter?
Did you order GCMS notes? If you are the sponsor, do it today. will cost you $5 and will take 25-30 days. But then you will have complete info as to where your file stands. Or simply visit your MP. Update him/her about your situation and request for an update.

Unfortunately, even MPs are completely clueless when it comes to bermuda triangle....ooopss i mean LONDON VISA OFFICE.

I was able to link my application to GCKEY. Turns out that visa office was sending correspondence to other email and not to the email provided as contact information. I contacted them via web form and now they reissued the dates for medical and biometrics. Any idea how long it’s gonna take then?

If GCMS says something is not started is it possible that it has been started but the agent did not update? Like for example Background Check (Security Check) or Eligibility?

Biometric done and passed : 18th October
Medical done and completed: 29th December
Eligibility in progress: 7th March
Background in progress: Don't know the exact date it went into progress but uptill now it is in progress.

Visit visa just got refused

same reason as others

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/ section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

Pretty tired of this BS reason at this point.

I did not put my spouse’s permanent address as she won’t get mail there, I put where her parents currently reside instead. Didn’t cause issues so far.
