Long story short
I'm a Swedish citizen with a background from the middle east.
During Christmas vacation 2021 I was traveling to Canada to visit my dad. During my transit the airline informed me that Canadian border wants some more information about me.
I provided everything I have
Then I was told that they want to talk to me, and one the airline staff handed me his mobile phone, where a lady who identified herself as the Canadian border authority started to ask questions.
She asked me the most provokativ questions you could imagine, that has 0 to do with Canada.
I gave 100% correct and truthful answers
Long story short, she said to me that there is a concern that I would apply for asylum in Canada or try to stay there, and therefore she will cancel my eTA and asked me to go back home.
I told her I have a home in Sweden, I have my own business let me prove that for you, she told me that there was no one at the airport who could do that on that day! I asked what do you mean no one? There a whole plane landing within 5 hours with 130 passengers who will check them? Why can't they check me? Sorry sorry we can't she said!
I honestly was shocked didn't know what to answer? Why would a Swedish citizen apply for asylum in Canada? What has Canada to offer that Sweden doesn't?
Anyway, I was so shocked I felt bad
And few seconds later I received an email saying that my eTA was canceled and that I provided a false information!!!!
I went back home and applied for eTA again end of December 2021. My application had to be continued in London.. And those guys in London are the most shameless people in my opinion they don't even bother answering emails!
Only 3 weeks ago, I received an email saying that my application was canceled!!!!!
More than two years of waiting and then canceled? Why? I requested them (London office) to get the decision protocol and they don't bother answering.
I applied again recently and I was notified that my application will continue in London again.. My gosh!! I feel so hopeless
Worth mentioning that during this period I was in Canada twice via the US land border..
What can I do?
I honestly feel very discriminated by what happend the first time.. To whom can I complain or ask for justice?
Second, I really need this eTA.. Would make my life much much easier!!!! What to do on that too?
