Hello Everyone!

I want to ask about the eligibility criteria for the Hospitality Sector Project under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), particularly regarding the requirement of holding a valid work permit issued by IRCC through a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).

I have a valid closed work permit issued by IRCC, which falls under the LMIA Exempt category. Specifically, my work permit is granted under the International Mobility Program (IMP) umbrella, with exemption code C16, designated as 'Francophone Mobility'. Given this circumstance, I am seeking clarification on whether individuals holding LMIA exempt work permits, such as mine, are eligible to apply for the Hospitality Sector Project and if so how would that reflect that way I should fill the SINP-500-4 Hospitality Sector Recruitment and Settlement Plan ?

You are not eligible since your work permit is LMIA exempt. Your employer would need to obtain an approved LMIA and you would need to switch to an LMIA-supported closed work permit to qualify.
