Hello guys, does anyone have any idea if the attestation letter procedure would come out before March 31st. I heard that provinces have been given there quota. I'm really worried about the timing for this whole process and it's really tiring.

No news and provinces have until March 31 so may only get news on that day. Provinces have been given quotas and now provinces will be deciding how many letters each college/university will get. Provinces could even decide on specific programs that may get more weight (eg. Healthcare programs get more weight than supply management or international business).

Would be prepared for most not to receive a response to their study permit to attend the spring/summer 2024 semester. Would be discussing with your school a Fall 2024 start date.

Do you think it's possible schools might adjust their resumption dates to accommodate students because of late application. My intended school is cambrian college sudbury, business analytics. I have been feeling a bit worried concerning this whole process. And the provinces are not even giving hints on how fast the are working to start the attestation letter process.

There is not much you can do but make sure you have LOA for fall 2024. Ontario has until March 31 to post the process so government doesn’t have to post anything until then. Expect applying for and getting letter will take a few weeks.

I already have an LOA. I even applied for visa on the 23rd of Jan, my application got returned yesterday because of attestation letter. My LOA is for may 6 2024.

Chances of getting an approved attestation letter and study permit by May is very low.

Would suggest speaking to your school about apply for Fall 2024 start date since it will be incredibly difficult if not 8k possible to get a study permit for May start date.

I am in the same situation, although bc has started the process for issuing attestation letter i am not sure if I'll get it in time to apply for the may intake.

Another question that I have is since my file was withrawn and not rejected do i need to put it in the form as a rejection?

It will be out tomorrow, March 04th. But basically Ministry of Post Sec Education highlighted what allocation will look like on March 01 press release, and expect 27% fewer study permit for private institutions...
