Hi everyone
I am planning to hire bellisimo law firm
Online reviews can be fake and bought so I wanted to see if folks here have had personal experiences with the firm
They charge hell lot of money, I am wondering if it’s worth it versus filing by myself
I am planning to apply visitor visa for my niece who has 2 previous refusals

File yourself and save your money.
No one can explain about you other than yourself.
Lawyer will not help, especially with visitor visas.

Thanks albloshi_sa
But the issue is the chinook system which may auto refuse no matter how good I prepare the app and then the application has to be strong to be taken to court
That’s the dilemma I am in
Without a lawyer I am not sure if I can prepare a strong application

No, there is nothing like auto refuse. There is always a officer final decision. Chinook is just a tool to help the officer organize his work.

There is no lawyer or consultant who can INCREASE your visa chances.

BTW, from where did you applied? whats your profile? share breifly

Here is some background

Host Family Background:
My brother in law and nice would like to apply for a visitor visa to visit family in canada to visit us in summer/winter vacations 2024.
In our family we have our mother ,3 brothers and a sister.
3 of us brothers and mother are settled in canada, sisters family is settled in india. we are canadian citizens/permanent residents(mother).
I (host) own a home in vancouver and employed as a project manager in IT company with stable income.
My wife is a teacher in school district. we have 2 kids.
All of our family has legally immigrated to Canada so no one has abused visitor visa to claim refugee or convert to work permit etc.
Me and my brothers immigrated via FSW program. Me in 2008, brothers in 2016. Wife in 2015, mother in 2016.
i sponsored my wife and mother to canada.
All of us are citizens except mother who is a PR.

Applicant Family details:
My sister works in an IT company as Data scientist and makes around around 25000 CAD in india.
She has been working in this company for 3 years and previously worked for other companies consistently for 7-8 years.
She is also enrolled in a masters program to further her studies.
My niece is a Grade 8 student.
My brother in law owns a construction company in partnership with his brother and they build apartments. He is currently constructing an apartment complex in a multi year
contract ( 3 buildings, contract of 2.5 Million Dollars)

Previous application to Canada
During sisters and nieces last attempt to apply visitor visa in 2019 their application was refused twice.
During second refusal we requested reconsinderation via MP and sisters application was then approved however they still denied my niece application.

Reasons for visit:
Family.
my sister is the only family member in india and likes to visit along with her family.
My niece paternal granparents passed during covid so she has only her maternal grandmother left who lives in Canada
she is also healthwise having ailments like arthritis, osteoporosis, asthma, bp so cant travel often to india and is 70 years old so my sisters family would like to visit and see her and also tour canada.
my niece wants to visit her uncles and her nephews who live here in Canada.

Financials:
My sister has about 20K CAD in savings consistently saved over last 2 years. My brother in law has fixed deposits of 10k CAD and 5k CAD
in savings account however there is lot of fluidity in his money transactions due to the nature of business where he has to often invest all his savings
for construction projects as he awaits payment from parties to consistent savings in savings account are not there but his company recieves funds as per the contract upon completion of portions of building so income generation can be shown.
My brother in law owns ancestral properties (farms) worth about 500k CAD and has an asset statement to support it.
He has shares worth 7000 dollars as well.

Travel history
My sister has since visited Canada once for 2 weeks and returned in January 2024.
She has previously travelled to Europe (Germany and Turkey) in 2008.
Brother in law has travelled twice to thailand before.
Niece hasn't travelled outside.

Previous Refusals:
Only Niece has 2 refusals.
brother in law no refusals
sister has one refusal and second app for canada got approved on reconsideration.

Concerns:

Brother in law doesnt have employment and operates his business. does not have stready savings to show. This along with nieces previous refusals are a key concern where we would like to get guidance and make a strong application.

Given that there are valid reasons for refusal not sure it would be worthwhile to spend 5-10k on JR. If anything it may raise more concerns that your sister’s family is trying to move to Canada since applying for JR for a TRV is relatively uncommon due to the high expense. Your sister was able to get a TRV which was already quite lucky given her profile so would suggest your sister build up a history of travel and returning and then your niece then attempt to get a TRV. After both your niece and sister have a history of traveling and returning then your BIL can attempt to get a TRV. Between savings and having 3 brothers and their family and the only grandparent in the family in Canada the ties to Canada are very large so it is justified that IRCC is concerned that the family will attempt to remain in Canada. Has the sister or her husband ever tried to work/study abroad (not just Canada) or immigrate to another country? Does the brother have extended family in India like brothers or sisters now that his parents are dead? Have any of them moved abroad? If in India do they live in the same city and closeby? Could they show they are actively involved with their extended family on a weekly basis like cousins attending the same school for example and being similar ages?

thanks Canuk78 for feedback.
comments on your questions below.

Has the sister or her husband ever tried to work/study abroad (not just Canada) or immigrate to another country?
no, they have never tried to immigrate or seek study permit.
My sister furthered her education in india. Last 5 years doing masters, post graduate diploma and now doing another masters in AI/Data Science which will go on for next 2 years.
Does the brother have extended family in India like brothers or sisters now that his parents are dead? Have any of them moved abroad? If in India do they live in the same city and closeby?
all of their family stays in same area. they have ancestral properties so all of them reside in the same locality. my brother in law has opened a construction firm partnering with his brother so they work very closely.

Could they show they are actively involved with their extended family on a weekly basis like cousins attending the same school for example and being similar ages?
yes, like i mentioned the family members live in same town and kids go to same school. My niece has 2-3 kids in same age group in the family.
the family members participate in events and occasions of each other.

In my opinion, this statement is the cause of refusals..
(my sister is the only family member in india and likes to visit along with her family. )
If your sister has more ties to canada and lesser ties to India, surely they will refuse any TRV application.
Later, even after JR they gave your sister visa and refused niece visa as her child will be a tie back home.

You have to work on
1. Establishing more ties to India
2. Travel history with her family to US, UK, Australia, Newzealand,Europe.
3. Buy properties or assets in India

I’ve had some experience with Bellisimo Law Firm; honestly, it was a mixed bag. They were professional and got things done, but the communication could have been smoother.
