Then with LMIA, you apply for a closed work permit. For the permit, you show that you are experienced to do the job. Depending on the job requirements, you may need IELTS for language and ECA for education. Most if not all jobs posted will say that you must be a citizen, PR or a person with work authorization to apply so no point in applying for those jobs.

The chances of getting a LMIA for a security guard position are very low.

I am considering switching to housing security (Section 8, Neighborhoods, Apt Complex, etc). The problem is, I have never done Housing before. I am licensed Armed, baton, spray, cuffing, and Taser, which seems to be required a lot around here (Nashville). Any advice, comments, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am a short, fat guy, with fighting skills similar to that of the easter bunny after thanksgiving dinner, sooo.....
