Work permit refused then applied for refugee

Hi, actually i left my home country for security purposes
And once reached to canada i met with different agents, so they advised me as long as you have experience try to apply for work permit and avoid claiming refugee, i found work permit but got rejected, then i applied for refugee, noting that i have all proof and evidence to proof my case, what do you think generally about my case, any comments on it

If as you say you have all the proof and evidence to support your claim, why didn’t you claim refugee as soon as you arrived ?

Because i wanted to bring my family as soon as possible, now i am stuck i have to wait until hearing, this was the main reason, also in fact i wanted to avoid refugee claimant because its more than month and i am without job waiting for my work permit

Its so evident to board memeber that you came here to work and When your workpermit got denied you claimed asylum.

Even now CBC & CNN is reporting that increase number of asylum for students and workpermit denied people applying for that…

I don't think that's necessarily the case. It will depend on the strength of your case and evidence. You also have to be prepared to be separated from your family for a few years. Good luck
