Hi all,

I applied for the PR on July 1st under EE-FSW(Inland). As my Work Permit visa on Oct 4th, I am planning to apply for BOWP for me and wife and extend visitor visa for my child.

I would like to know whether I could make one application for us all. Or separately for my wife and son.

There is one question in questionnaire. Please let me know what should I give there?
Are you accompanying a family member who has status in Canada? Yes/No

Kindly provide information.

Thanks.

I applied BOWP for myself and my wife in the same application (using my CIC account - Online).

Thanks IMNA.

So you choose "Yes" for "Are you accompanying a family member who has status in Canada?" question. Right?

Thanks.

Only the Principal Applicant (PA) on an application is eligible for the BOWP. Your spouse is eligible for a SOWP on the basis of your BOWP.

You would answer "no" to the accompanying question, because you ARE the person with status, you don't accompany yourself. (Your wife could answer that question "yes," because she is accompanying you, and that is why she is eligible for the SOWP).

You can apply for all 3 permits at the same time (online).

Thanks JES_ON. If I choose "No", I couldn't add information for my wife and child. Do you mean should I create separate application for wife & child after creating mine?

Sorry, you will have to be more specific. Are you going through the questionnaire "Find out if you're eligible to apply"?

If yes - After you say "No" to the above question, you should see a question that says "When does your status in Canada expire?" A few questions later, you'll be asked if you want to submit an application for a family member - you answer yes to that.

If you don't get that, you've answered something else wrong earlier.

Thanks a lot, JES_ON. I have corrected now. Thanks once again.

Hi, I am in the same situation, does applying BOWP for the primary applicant and spouse in one application work?

Hi PR9113, did you apply the BOWP along with your wife and got approved following the above mentioned process?

Hi Kumar, I applied for both at a time, on Feb 17th, I should have gotten BOWP on May 18th, but I don't have any response from IRCC, the process is taking too long.
