Hi,
Can I apply for asylum in Canada if i cant go back to my home country due to religious persecution. Im currently on a student visa in europe but my circumstances might not guarantee a renewal to my study permit. I have been in europe for the past 9 years. My family is currently in canada

You can apply if you are able to get a TRV approved and fly to Canada to apply. However your chances of approval will likely be close to zero since you have been living in Europe for 9 years and have failed to apply for asylum there. If your life is truly in danger then you should file an asylum claim where you are now.

I agree but isn't the fact that my family is in Canada a valid reason for not claiming in europe
