Your parents can apply for a TRV at any time. Generally speaking, it can be more difficult to be approved with a family member in Canada who has claimed asylum. Make sure they show strong ties to their home country in their application such as property ownership and employment.

Please help on parents visa:
My parent’s canada visitor visa is getting expired in Nov 2024 ( as the old passport has expiry date for this month). Now they have got the new passport; so How long before current visitor visa expiry, they can re-apply(re-new) the visa again ? Can they apply now i.e prior to 9ish month expiry ? Please let me know. Thank you in advance!
