Hi

I received my canadian visa to Transit through Canada and it says VH1, number of entries 2.

I had to put my tickets ( Colombia to Australia) on hold because I din not receive my passport on time.

My initial flight tickets had only one stop in Canada. Now that I am trying to buy my new tickets, AirCanada has only flights stopping in Toronto and Vancouver.

Does my approved Canadian visa VH-1 allow me to stop in two Canadian Cities if I'm only transiting to Australia?

Can I buy flight tickets stopping in more than one city in Canada?

You cannot stop in two cities because then you are not transiting. Transiting is when you do not leave the secure area and do not go through immigration between two international flights. You would be entering Canada to go on to Vancouver. You would need a TRV to have two Canadian stops.

I already got the visa approved, I tried to get the same itinerary that I had before, Air Canada only offers me stopping in Canada in two cities. If I buy these tickets, I can't exit the secure area in Toronto's airpirt, can I? do I need to apply for a new visa?

You need a TRV as you would be leaving the international/secure area and going through Canadian immigration to get to the domestic terminal. You would be denied leaving the international terminal. You may even be denied boarding in Columbia because you don’t have a TRV. You need to find another airlines and/or country to fly through like Mexico or the US.

This is an extremely suspicious itinerary and screams I am planning on claiming asylum in Canada. Coming a the way to Canada to fly Australia makes no sense at all. The fact that you got this transit visa is pretty amazing and you got extremely lucky. How long did it take to get the transit visa after you applied?

They were saying that there was not problem in getting the tickets like that, I didn't believe that. That's why I asked it here, and forced them to find any ticket stopping in Mexico after I got your responses. It has been so difficult to organise my trip, I didn't know how difficult transit through Canada could be. Thank you

Hello, could you tell me your application times? When did you request it, biometric date and how long did it take for the response? I made the request in January and on January 29 the biometrics were obtained. Thank you
