Hello,
I am writing on this post to see if anyone had recent experience to share regarding a TRP due to inadmissibility (dui)
Currently I am going through the process in land.
My current PGWP expires June 1st and I was wondering if I get to have maintained status while waiting their decision ?
I saw an other person was able to keep working on the previous comments of this post and got his TRP granted..

Applying for a TRP does not allow you to continue working after the expiry of your PGWP.Hello,

You would need to apply for a work permit extension before the expiry of your PGWP in order to have implied status and be able to continue working.

I did apply for a work permit at the same time as my TRP sent to the CPC of Edmonton. Would that count? Its all paper application tho.

I submitted all documentation for TRP in November 2018. I emailed the email on the visa website and no response. I then emailed the email listed on this thread and received a response. My application was set for review early July ( my travel date is july 10) july 2 finally received an email application accepted!!!! I guess they review your file the month you plan to travel?
Hello. I am a Flight Attendant needing my TRP w/ a first time DWI. Received a 2 year unsupervised probation. 2nd year will be completed Jan 2025 & my case will be sealed. I actually went through an office to prepare my file for me. In Oct they said my application was in queue for processing. I’ve been waiting since April 2023. Does anyone have an email that I can email? I’m really in need of my TRP immediately

July 2024 success story.
-DUI arrest was Nov 2023, Trip is July 2024.
-Applied on paper as described in the earlier post & included everything. FBI background check & all.
-Mailed it with tracking to Los Angeles office since I only can possibly get a TRP not rehabilitation.
-Trip has us leaving July 24th, 2024. Was worried sick that I didn’t have enough time since it was sent in only 3 months prior to our trip.
-July 17th, almost exactly 3 months from when we sent it & a week to the day before our trip, we got an email saying they received our application & it was under review. We had tried emailing & calling for updates but received no helpful responses. Was grateful we chose tracking & choosing to make them sign for it so we at least knew they received it.
-July 23rd we got the email of approval.
Our three takeaways:
1. they clearly process these based on your travel dates NOT in the order they’re received. We got ours, like most others, the day before we left & it only took 3 months.
2. They require you to send two passport pictures, which we did, but the email of approval states you have to bring two passport pictures with you. Looking back, I’d still send the passport photos. They stress so much about the importance of sending everything, with the checklist stating you sent everything, so I would still send them & get another set to travel with. We took no chances.
3. Those law offices should be ashamed of themselves for charging what they do & using such scare tactics to make you feel you have no options but to use them. The process is really quite simple. The checklist lays it all out for you & even links to the fbi background check & where to make your $200 payment.

I contacted them through an online “contact us” option on a few different parts of their webpage. Only one responded & they said it’s not in their system yet. We have since gotten our approval & saw it was approved long before our inquiry so it seems these TRPs don’t ever enter their system or at least not until the day you get the approval, which for us, like most others, was the day before our trip. We got an email a week before saying it was received & 6 days later we got the approval email.Does anyone happen to know the email to receive a response regarding your TRP?
