Supervisa for Parents (January 2024 Timeline)

Hi Folks,

I'm filling up the SuperVisa form for my parents. Under finances, not sure what to answer for these questions. I will be covering all their expenses during their stay here. Both questions are mandatory to answer. Not sure what is the best way to answer. Can you provide an example? Also for question 2 what documents do we need to submit? Is it my tax returns?

1. * How much money do you have for your stay in Canada? (In Canadian dollars - CAD) (required)
2. * Is someone else giving you money for your stay in Canada? (required)
When you give us proof of your financial documents, make sure to tell us who's providing the money (if it's not you).

For Q1- mention the amount you have for them
For Q2- answer ‘Yes’ if you are financially supporting them.
remember that you need to fill all the details like your parents would.
Documents will be your NOA/T4/payslips/bank statement

Based on the UCI number, system will consider their application under CAN+ program which helps in faster processing of the application.

If you still want to mention it explicitly, include that point in the Invite letter and also you can upload their visa copies in the optional documents section.

We had applied for parents super visa on Jan 18 and received Biometrics letter same day. They gave on Jan 23 and then today both Biometrics are passed.
Mother passed her medical today but for my father they got an email, " Additional Medical Information required "

My question is that he had a history of TB around 30 years ago, the scar remains. Is this something to worry about? Will they conduct the sputum test and then immediately send to IRCC or he will have to wait now 3months before re doing the X ray then re doing Medicals?

What is the timeline I am looking at and next steps?

Nothing to worry. They will ask to undergo the additional tests like sputum test and xrays. Due to this they will not reject your application.

We faced the same issue during the upfront medicals of my father-in-law. Once that is done, we applied for Super visa which got approved.

I have been reading posts that they do 3 sputum tests, then call after 3 months for X rays then re do medicals?

Did you have to go through this time consuming and mentally exhausting process? Or it is just further tests and done with?
