Hello.
I got an open work permit through canada under ts2023 special measurement. my question is that my wife and my school-age daughter do not have a visa to enter canada. and we do not want to be separated from my family and wait for an application. Can you please share with me your advice on this issue? visitor or family renutification issues.

So you are in Canada, and your family didn’t travel with you before you applied for the special measurement? Don’t believe the special measurement allows for an approved path for family reunification as it is not a PR/asylum/refugee program. There was a woman on here who came to Canada alone without her spouse children, and got OWP. Then she applied to bring her children and they were refused. Best bet is to try for a visitor visa. They will need to show funds, travel history, ties to return.

The application was due on January 3rd and we did not have time to get the visa application result for my family, so I came alone and applied and was accepted. Now I am thinking about how I can come to Canada with my family.

Your family will have to apply for TRVs. As said above, they need to show that they have the funds, travel history, ties to return. This allows them to visit not to work or go to school. If school age then most likely children need study permits. So make sure they have a lot of funds to show they can come visit Canada. You having a work permit now will not help their applications especially if you are not even in Canada and working.

A woman on this forum tried to do the same thing but remained in Canada. Her spouse and children’s visas were refused so she had a decision to make on stay in Canada and find a job and live without her family, or return. Again this is not a family reunification program. Are you even in Canada? Because if not, then you are not reuniting anyways.
