Visitor Visa: what document I should gather for my nephew (along with his grandparents)?

Hi guys,

I am preparing to apply for temporary visitor visa for my nephew (my sister's). He is just 5, and my parents (grandparents for my nephew) will come with him. I understand that his case would fall into tourism visit, rather than family visit. If so, should I create an IRCC account for him, or for his immediate parents (my sister), to apply for the visa? What documents I should gather for him? I check the gov link but don't find details about his case, https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/minor-children-travelling-canada.html. My status is PR.
Thanks in advance.

He would need his own account and the grandparents would need to apply separately. His application could fall under family visit too. The choice of travel reasons won’t have a significant impact. You will have to explain why your nephew is travelling without his parents and proof that both he and his grandparents will be returning home after a short visit.

Thanks for the answer. I forgot to mention, my parents (my nephew's grandparents) have visitor visa already. So I would just need to apply the visitor visa for my nephew.

I may agree with your point about the choice of travel reasons, as I check the needed documents and the reason seems not matter.

He has his own account and application. Since a minor, parents will need to approve travel with parents. Parents need to show that they have the funds (bank statements over last 4 months) for him to travel for length of visit, ties to return (school registration, parents remaining in country), travel history and reasons for visit.

Thanks for the response. I also asked IRCC (using the form in help centre) and they share a tool called Come to Canada. Basically align with what you said. Seems a good entry site to guide people through to the document list.
