I am talking about biometric. They asked biometric again for my friend. She protected person.
Starting on December 3, 2019, foreign nationals applying from within Canada for permanent residence, like protected persons, were required to provide biometrics. However, during the pandemic, there was a temporary public policy exempting foreign nationals from the biometrics collection requirement if they had provided their biometrics within the last 10 years. As that public policy has now ended, protected persons and their dependents who apply for permanent residence on or after June 14, 2023, will be required to submit biometrics as per regular procedures, unless otherwise exempt. Additional information regarding biometric collection and screening can be found in the relevant instructions.

Thank you. I did biometric before I come here in 2021 and when I did my claim in 2022 April. But biometric says expired. I applied for pr May, 2023. They haven’t asked yet.
My friend applied for pr before June 14th, 2023 but they still asked for biometric.

We are in the same boat, I also applied for PR in March 2023, so we will wait. I haven't been asked biometric yet either.

We applied end of May. They sent emails to me and my spouse in November. My spouse is not claimant. They asked police certificate from me and medical and biometric from my spouse. Next day I also received AOR. That’s all.

I see, what about background checks they start or not your criminality, security and eligibility?
