Which passport?

I have a US passport and (hopefully soon) will also have Canadian citizenship and a Canadian passport. I will be travelling from Canada to Nigeria this summer. I am trying to determine which of these three possibilities would be best:

1. Get a Nigerian visa in my US passport and then re-enter Canada using my US passport--will this re-entry be possible?
2. Get a Nigerian visa in my US passport and then re-enter Canada using my Canadian passport
3. Get a Nigerian visa in my Canadian passport and then re-enter Canada using my Canadian passport

I would appreciate any advice on this. Thank you!

As US Canada allow visa free travel its for you to decide where to put Nigerian visa on.
