I have a concern. My wife and I applied for PR through the home childcare route in January 2023.

But we subsequently got ITA through express entry in December 2023.

We did not fill our entire personal history in the Home child care route application because the form had limited spaces, however, we have now withdrawn the application and also gotten confirmation of withdrawal and a note that refund will be made.

Now we are about to submit our new application for the ITA we got, We have also included all the experience in our personal history to the smallest details, all the entries in the Home child care application are also included in our personal history in this new application.

My question is will our withdrawn application have an effect on this application?
Can it be seen as misrepresentation since we withdrew the application?
What are the potential consequences?

No, it won’t affect your application. But make sure you select Yes to the question whether you have applied to IRCC before.

mandiebraxton Thank you for your response. Yes, we already selected Yes, we applied before.

I guess my worry is that IRCC does not use our previous application that has been withdrawn now to deem it as misrepresentation, when making a decision on our new application.

All the extra details have been included in our new application.

These are just my fears.

What do you think please?

No need to worry, you won’t be penalized for withdrawing previous application
mandiebraxton Thank you so much for your response.

I think my concern basically is that our personal history section in our initial application (that has been withdrawn) was incomplete, the form had only 5 rows.

However, in our new EE PR application, we have all our personal history, as much as 15 rows.

Will this mean misrepresentation in any form?

It will not. Just provide all the information in this new application. You are really worrying about nothing

Atleast a dozen or more VIP and champion members are contradicting this stating that submission of an EE profile is not = to applying to IRCC for express entry so they say a person should answer NO. So can you share the source link why are you advising the answer to be YES?
