You need to specify when booking the appointment that you don’t have OHIP and whether they accept private pay patients. I would specify why you are needing the medical and that a letter will be needed. Any doctor’s letter typically comes with a charge even if you have OHIP. Can you see any doctor or does it have to be a panel physician?Hello I have a removal order against me and im supposed to leave in 2 weeks. I can see any doctor but family doctors don't want to accept me without ohip. Immigration is giving me a hard time about my blood clot condition from 3 years ago that still affects me because I didn't follow up with a specialist. Now I'm waiting to see one since October. They don't think the walk-in clinic notes are good enough as it's not an official note with details about the new specialist appointment. So I need a doctor that can give them sufficient proof after tests. You need to specify when booking the appointment that you don’t have OHIP and whether they accept private pay patients. If they want an opinion from a specialist, this isn't a family doctor. You need to be examined by a haematology specialist. These specialist are generally located in hospitals and you can't just make an appointment directly. You have to be referred by a family doctor or by a walk in clinic. Has the walk in clinic referred you to such a specialist? If so, then the only real option is to wait for that appointment.I can see any doctor but family doctors don't want to accept me without ohip. Agree that you need to see a hematologist but as a private payer you are the lowest priority. Some hospitals will not accept your referral because they already have a significant wait list for Ontario residents needing to see hematology. Realistically it could take a long time before you are able to get the information needed because you will first need to see the doctor, then run tests and then meet with the doctor to go over the test and evaluate whether further tests and needed and then the doctor will be able to write a note. Is this note to attempt to stop deportation for medical reasons?I can see any doctor but family doctors don't want to accept me without ohip. If you haven’t taken the steps to see a specialist in three years in regards to your blood clot condition, then you can understand immigrations view that the condition isn’t really affecting your life.I can see any doctor but family doctors don't want to accept me without ohip.
