Hi, my husband is a Permanent Resident in canada and we are now planning to submit our spousal sponsorship in January 2024. But i am currently 6months pregnant and will give birth to our baby in March 2024 here in canada.
Will it affect my application? Also do i need to inform IRCC that i am currently pregnant? If yes, how will i inform them? Do i need to submit proof of our pregnancy? Does it help in proving the genuine-ness of our relationship?
Looking forward in hearing your responses. Thank you very much

Please check the application guide. More specifically, there is a specific section in one of the forms you need to fill out that asks if any of you are expecting a child, and asks for the due date. So IRCC will be informed of that.

As to how it affects applications, this is unknown. Also, please make sure to inform yourself about Health coverage requirements for you and your baby in your Province. Some provinces have a cool-off period, others require a specific step to be passed in the PR sponsorship process to begin covering you. There is a good chance that you won't be covered in time for your delivery and that your baby won't be covered either.
