Merry Christmas in advance everyone! Quick question- I already have my Oath date scheduled, but will like to know if I still need to inform IRCC of my travel to the US that will take more than two weeks. I understand we are supposed to inform of any travel plans, but considering I already have my Oath , is this also applicable in my case? I will be back before my Oath date, only traveling for the holidays

Hi & Merry Christmas! Once you apply for Citizenship, you can travel outside of Canada and you don’t have to tell IRCC about it. As long as you are back for the Oath, you are all good.

Is any July applicant still waiting for Oath invitation? My LPP was completed exactly a month ago and nothing since.

My mother applied for Citizenship in July 2023. We received the AOR in August 2023. I received an email with a letter from 'The Registrar of Canadian Citizenship' regarding the information on how to download the Citizenship e-certificate (we chose paper in the online application)

The tracker says, that she is scheduled for Oath on January 10th, 2024. We haven't received any official letter yet.

Now the issue is that my mother is currently outside of Canada, and won't be back until May 2024. How can we request a reschedule of Oath date?

We also tried to create the Secure IRCC portal account, but it's coming up with an error message that the Invitation Code is Invalid. Has any one experience that? Does it take few days before we can create the account?

My invitation code had ‘l’(L) in it i have treated it as I(i). Just sharing my experience. For me it was confusing i was getting exact same error

Your mother will have to write a Letter of Explanation to request a new Oath date and explain why she left Canada and why for so long.

Please note that rescheduling is not granted, as it is the applicant responsibility to be in Canada during the Citizenship process. Therefore, the request may be denied.

Morning everyone. Happy new year to everyone. Does anyone have a phone number (and maybe the extension/options) that needs to be chosen to get through to an agent.

Happy New Year everyone. Still waiting for my prohibition and physical presence to be completed since December 14th when the language skills changed to completed. Is anyone in a similar situation? It is usually LPP that takes a longer time to be completed, in my case, there are only PP.

Just was on the phone with an agent, he suggested not to jump to get ATIP as it usualy leads to a longer wait time since thr agent who provide and sends the notes is same person who works on the application. I think it could also brings up the application to the agent's attention. I dont know it may help your case, or the opposite. any insights?
