Hello guys, haven't seen any activity for people who applied in December (Inland spousal). I applied Dec 3, I have seen people getting their AOR roughly around 3-4 weeks. Should I be expecting something next week? Or holidays probably going to delay it to next year?

The only days IRCC doesn't work are stats holiday. So for December is the 25 and 26. You can definitely get the AOR on Dec 27/28/29. Not saying you will as it depends on a lot of factors but it's not like IRCC takes a whole week off on Christmas.

Hi ppl,

I have got a PR confirmation email and I replied with all my information. I am waiting for an another mail with PR portal link. It's been almost 10 days. I have checked PR portal as well, No changes in that portal as well. PR tracker has the copr document number but decision is still IN PROGRESS.

Is this the case now ? Someone in the similar situation ??

Applied: Dec 3
AOR: DEC 22

Successfully linked my application to IRCC account, but did not work for PR tracker. Does it take a while until the application is in the PR tracker?

Greetings everyone,
We submitted our outland online spousal application on July16 2023 and after 5 months, we have not received AOR, sponsor approval, BIL or MIL.
I have done the following things to get an update but nothing has changed and I have been asked to wait.
1. Contact MP for update- contacted and response was to wait and approach them again in Jan 2024.
2. Request for ATIP notes- got the notes and it is empty
3. Submitting webform- response is they have received the application

I believe our application was assigned to an agent ID and that ID is dormant and hence not being worked on.

I am thinking of again submitting another new similar spousal sponsorship application attaching the same fee receipt and hoping this one would be processed normally.

My question to fellow applicants here is,
Am I allowed to submit another application on top of the already submitted one?
Will there be any repercussions for doing this?
Please help me here as I have been patiently waiting for this PR application to finalize.

Note: I applied for a TRV visa with no AOR and the visa was approved. Currently submitted passport for stamping and waiting.

Are you older than you spouse? If yes how much older? How long did you date before getting married? There may be concerns that your spouse may be trying to secure domestic tuition since he is only in 1st year at U of T. Marrying someone with status in Canada or after they have a WP or study permit has been used as a form of immigration fraud so IRCC does look at these types of cases a bit more carefully. How long did you date before getting married? Did you have a culturally typical wedding ceremony? For example didn’t include a tea ceremony. Were both sets of parents present at the wedding or did you have 2 ceremonies? Did he have a way to support his studies since he wouldn’t have enough funds in his GIC to cover his full bachelor degree and living costs in Toronto?
Sry I just saw your reply. I am 11 years older than my husband. We got married 20 days after we met each other. We had a wedding signing ceremony with 2 friends as witnesses. We plan to have a formal wedding after we go back to china in the future. His familiy will pay his tuition fee, and the GIC is more like an investment. I will graduate next April and will secure a full-time position and get a stable higher income. I have included those in our financial explaination letter.

I know it definitely sounds like a fraud, but we do love each other and plan to have a baby. I have attached my fertility care appointment to the application as well.

Thank you for your help!

Hello Guys,

Can anyone please guide on the following.

Situation:

1- I came to Canada with my wife and a kid 5 years back on PR and am now a citizen
2- Got separated shortly after had family court processings and was finally able to sign a separation agreement issued by the court
3- Later got divorced back home and now looking to re-marry outside Canada (most likely in the US. She is on a student visa over there)
4- She has a kid as well from her previous marriage

Questions:

1- Am I able to sponsor her child without adopting ?
2 - Do I need to complete any procedure for my divorce here in Canada before I re-marry outside Canada? (on my NOA the status is divorced)
