Asked for a French police certificate

Hi there,

A friend and I have applied for an IEC visa. We're both from the UK. His was accepted but I was told to upload an imm5257 form listing everywhere I have been on holiday in the last 10 years.

I've since been asked to upload a police certificate for France, this is despite never living/working in the country. I have lived in the UK all my life and submitted my British police certificate through the application twice, only to be told to upload a police certificate from France instead.

I've now uploaded a letter explaining my situation, but I really don't know what the problem is.

Can anyone please shed any light?

It may be due to an online study which might be based in France and you took the classes in England.
