Change of Occupation

Hi, i was working as technical sales for almost 10 years out of Canada and for 1 year in Canada.
My employer has a vacancy for Computer Aided Design Draftsman and I took the opportunity to work as CAD, which will aslo help me to improve my changes for OINP.
My questions is that, for this new job offer, do I need to have an experience in the same field, or the experience can be in any field, provided the job is a legit one.
