Hi all,

I recently received my ITA and after completing the Information Permanent Resident Application, as part of the checklist I am required to upload my Job offer (which is exempted from an LMIA due to CUSMA Mexico-Canada-USA agreement).

In my original Job offer (given to my company in September 2022) they mentioned my NOC code, job title, main and detailed responsibilities are described, salary, and the LMIA-CUSMA exemption, etc...however, I can not find specific information on my job being full-time (40 hours per week) and it also mentions a 24-month period.

I have another letter granted by my company stating my job offer is valid permanently on full-time basis, my role, my working hours per week, my address, and my updated salary (since I had a raise). (Responsibilities are not fully described).

My question is: how can I best utilize these 2 artifacts to justify my job offer and ensure information is clear to IRCC? Or would I be missing some information?

Thanks!

You need an updated letter that states you will have a job one year past PR if you want to count the 50 points.

Thanks! Do you think a letter containing the following statements will be enough?
  • "Employed in (NAME OF COMPANY) on a permanent full-time basis since October 01, 2022"
  • My role/job title
  • Working hours per week (40)
  • Updated salary
  • My address

The letter should specifically state that they will continue to employ you for at least a year after PR. Some people managed to get approved without their letter having this statement. But ideally you should have it since IRCC may refused without it.

Hi, I am 20 days away from my submission date (got ITA back on Dec 08 2023). My company is giving me a hard time and is hesitant to give me this statement in writing: "I can gladly confirm Mr X will be employed in the same position throughout his application process and after he becomes a permanent resident". When asked informally if I will continue to get my job they affirm I will and they are only committing to providing a generic employment letter stating that my position is permanent, full-time (40 hours), my job title and duties, and salary.

Would anyone suggest trying anything else? Maybe a Letter of explanation? My case is an Intra Company transfer, LMIA exempted.
