Permanent Residence pathway for Colombian, Haitian and Venezuelan nationals

@scylla @canuck78 They do not seem to be going on the applications recieved but perhaps AORs? Are they waiting to give out 11k AORs before they close the in take? Taking 3 weeks to get up to the 22nd of November in terms of AORs, means they must have received more than 11k applications by the 22nd. How long do you think the program is going to stay open for? Have they given close to 11k AORs?
If thats their plan, why letting people apply at this point if they will not even have a chance? Or maybe we are way over our heads thinking 11K will be reached in a few days when in reality maybe not that many people applied?
I do want to think we're over our heads... As it seems, tons of people applying -including me-, have commited mistakes on the application... And not everybody are eligible (several of the latinamericans are on Quebec, so it is perhaps a good chance to us). These are just thoughts I've had these few weeks...

I would rather not agree with you on this one, but I believe that’s what it looks like to be their plan. Because they are returning a lot of applications and continue to accept a whole bunch more. They need to continue reviewing to make sure they process the complete ones, but even the complete ones can’t assure will pass the medical / background checks. So they need to process a bit more, just in case.
11.000 thousand applications ≠ 11.000 permanent residencies. Saying that, to reach the quota the government will need to accept less than 11.000 applications. Statistically it could be a third, so roughly 4.000: Some applications are unipersonal, some are of couples and groups of 3/4, etc.
Although a lot of people may apply, not everyone does it correctly or are eligible for many reasons.
Overall:
Step ONE checks for eligibility, completed signed forms, and readable/complete list of basic 'requested' documents .
Many can be ineligible, forms can be wrongly filled/not signed, some people lack documents/are not readable. (Still while lacking documents or having document variations, people are getting positive response)
2.After applying and being processed applicants must pass background checks and medical exams. > This step might shut down some of the already accepted applications,: opening space for eligible ones in the queue. If an application of a family of 4 is denied, it will open 4 new reviews for unipersonal applications or 2 new reviews for couples, or a new review for a single person and a family of three...
Beyond that: Governments have a plan within an immigration program of how many family groups they will accept, how many single people, couples... This might also affect the order of applications processing some profiles faster instead of another. Also probably because of the humanitarian nature of the program, people who have been displaced from country of origin, might have some priority, like for example Venezuelans living out of Venezuela (seem to get positive response) Once again not all Venezuelans out of country of origin might meet all requirements so not just because displacement they will be accepted.

Well that is very clear, they are going to close it once they approve 3500 applications. They will process the first complete 3500 applications. What about the other applications they will receive while the program stays open?
Are they really going to process all complete eligible applications that are submitted before they officially close the intake? Seems that is the case.
Anchors might be able to move out of Quebec and submit an application by the time this closes. They expect to process all applications by March 2024. That is a lot of time.
