What happens if the TRV that is present allows for only 6 months stay like a WX-1 or V-1 ?
There isn’t a limit of 6 months stay the limit is just for visitors. You can get a longer stay if studying, as the spouse of someone studying, as the children of someone studying.

No I don’t.
Actually I already have a valid TRV from a visitor visa application a year ago....I saw in a post that I can actually enter Canada since I already have the POE and I might not need a separate PPR (S-1 visa ).

So, let's assume I don't get any PPR for study permit application, so I can use my WX-1 category visitor visa that is valid till 2031 to enter. Canada and then show them the port of entry letter so they can issue my study permit document.

Hey have you received any update?
Actually I already had a visitor visa and confirmed from the high commission of Canada in New Delhi, that I don't need a S-1 visa TRV stamp in my passport, I can travel with the one I already have.

What about you?

Hey!

I'm currently in the process of obtaining my student permit approval. I have received the Port of Entry (POE) letter, but I haven't yet received the passport request letter. My study program is scheduled to start on September 5, 2024.

I already hold a visitor visa and visited the VFS office to inquire about the situation. They provided me with the email address delhi-Im-enquiry@international.gc.ca and advised me to write to them with my concerns, mentioning that the embassy should respond within a day.

I have also filled out the web form but haven't received any response yet. In this situation, do you think I will be allowed to enter Canada with just the POE letter and have the verification completed at the airport?
