Anyone with DM status still awaiting oath updates? It’s been a month since my application went to DM but no updates yet.

Is it an Ottawa office specific thing? My secondary office is Ottawa. I see from other updates/locations where oath emails/appointments are updated within a week or two.

Ottawa has generally been slow in scheduling oath. For me it took 4 months after LPP complete.
You can raise a webform request asking about Oath date. In parallel you can drop an email to Ottawa Oath Scheduling email id - CIC-OTTAWA-CITIZENSH@cic.gc.ca

Thank you. Wow 4 months is too long! I sincerely hope they don’t take that long, it would then take me beyond their 16/17 month SLA. Also from my gcms I see background checks are valid only for an year, that would expire for me as well, since mine happened way back in feb.

So your Background check wont move back to in-progress. It only is for FP which is valid for a year.

I see. There’s a validity date in that section of the notes, so I thought there’s an expiration date. Anyway hoping the next steps happen sooner so that I don’t have to worry about these validity dates lol

Same thing here. It has been one month since my lpp completed. Waiting for oath date.
