My application was rejected for open work permit

Dear All ,
Need suggestion as my open work permit, dependent on my spouse work visa has been rejected, the reason is - the authority is not satisfied with the following information is truthful, Have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country. I answered as NO

Actually when my wife received the LIMA last year in December , me and my wife was in USA. The employer advised that there is a provision of flag poling where we can walk at the USA - Canada Border and ask for the Entry. So we went but at the border they advice its not the same case and we need to file online. But in the mean while our entry and exit was registered at the system which is correct also. I was just accompaning my wife but the also made my entry and then exist . There after applied online for visa for my wife first and she was approved and she landed in Canada in the month of June ,For last 6 months she is working there . Now she sponcered me and children but on the form I mentioned - NO -for any refusal of entry in past in Canada . Technically it is correct we went to boarder to check the provision of flap poling in our case for my wife.


Also I have never had any refusal , I have been travelling Europe / USA regularly since last 15 years.Pls advice should I file for a reconsideration explaining that its an typing error OR should I file a new paper .

Your post makes no sense as your wife is not sponsoring you. You are applying for an open work permit? Are you in Canada to flagpole as your wife is not flagpoling? Have you applied online? Don’t understand how you are eligible for reconsideration. Apply for work permit and study permits for children if school age.

You cannot just show up at the Canadian border and ask for a work/study permit. You were refused entry to Canada. Flagpoling is for people in Canada to extend their study permit, for example. That is a reason for refusal If permits were refused after applying online. Lucky to not get 5 year ban.

Here's some news for you. When you went to the border and got denied it counts as a refusal. Now you have one refusal as well as a lie on a work permit application. Not a great start
