Visitor record for minor child

Urgent! Please help.

I am a Canadian Permanent Resident. My child, who was born in US, is currently in Canada on visitor visa. I will be applying for my child's PR application soon. But in order to maintain visitor status I need to apply for visitor record (visitor visa extension) as soon as possible.

Do I need to create a separate GC key on my child's name or can I request visitor record for my child using my own existing GCkey?

They need their own account. It would be much better if you could show that PR sponsorship is in process.
