For us, they asked:Hi All,
Could anyone tell me, what questions officers ask at boarder for open work permit?
I have my AOR and BIL received. Also, medical is updated as well.
Please let me know. Thanks.
Okay! Thank you.For us, they asked:
- What are you here for?
- What is the relationship between you two?
- What was my husband doing in his back home before coming here (job title, employer name)
- Which program you're applying?
- What is my husband doing since he came to Canada?
- And the documents.
It's totally up to the officer, nobody knows which questions they'll ask.
They took my passport when we reached the kiosk, so No for me (sponsor). They asked where we got married. In the AOR has UCI of sponsor, they'll type and everything will pop up in the system.Okay! Thank you.
Also, do they ask questions to applicant only? Or do they ask questions to sponsor as well?
Just wait. Most people either have BIL first, or the other. For us we did it upfront so no medical request.I got my BIL letter on November 2nd and gave biometrics on November 8th, but fore some reasons I have not received the Medical Examination Letter. I see that most people receive the two letters on the same day or on the following day. I guess I just need to wait...

I have posted my comments several times in this thread. As my husband is a US citizen, he can apply at the border. When ddi you applied for SOWP?
The next step is up to the decision-maker/officer who was assigned to your case. Sometime it’s different than the others, as long as isn’t passed normal processing time.Received the IMM5801 today. Still no medical exam letter though.
I am trying to see if I can do a medical exam with a panel physicist before getting the letter. I will be out of the country for the whole month of January and I am afraid I will be requested to do the exam during that time spanThe next step is up to the decision-maker/officer who was assigned to your case. I think if they call you for medical, then it should be the last step.
As I know, you can do it in anywhere, doesn’t have to be in Canada.I am trying to see if I can do a medical exam with a panel physicist before getting the letter. I will be out of the country for the whole month of January and I am afraid I will be requested to do the exam during that time span
