So I've read the reasons for submitting a web form to update IRCC on various changes to one's situation as one waits for a study permit result. My friend is applying for a Post Graduate Certificate at Algonquin College in Ontario with a Jan 2024 intake. The current status of her application is as follows:
Application Submitted On: 2023-09-19
Days Since Submission: 51
Weeks Since Submission: 7.3
Biometrics - Completed - 2023-10-02
Medical Exam - Completed - 2023-10-18
Eligibility - Not Started
Background Verification - In Progress
When we applied she had just left her job and was unemployed, which we indicated on her employment history in her application and LOE. She has recently accepted a new job and is now employed since she can't put her life on hold while she waits for a response from IRCC. We were advised to update IRCC on her employment status but we're wondering if we should elaborate on her intentions to study still since this new job has been accepted so close to the Jan '24 intake date and is not what she wants to do long term or just give IRCC minimal information on the new employment status like start date, role, responsibilities and company name etc.? Is less more in this situation?
Thanks in advance!
