Hello Friends,
I am wondering if Iranian could get any positive feedback on their Visitor Visa application recently. mine got stuck in Background Check within last two months and no more update.
Lets share our timelines and experiences:

Applied on: 3rd sep
Biometric completed:6th sep
Eligibility: Not Started
Background check: in progress since then

When do you think is proper time to raise webform? Once exceed processing time or in advance?

Looks like they are processing your app, you should wait until after the normal processing time has passed before sending a web form, and remember the published times are averages, yours could be more or less depending on the complexity of your application.

Posted processing times are just estimated averages. Applications from Iran tend to take many months to process before you get a response. Would compare to recent applicants for the best guess at current processing times. You will just be told to be patient if you contact someone.

Yeah, Would be better if any Iranian share his/her Timeline to get some idea
Now processing time is around 80 days for Iranian and mine passed 65 days. Do you think I need to initiate webform now or later?

Yes , Tracker also show same update. Nothing changed since 6th Sep when Biometric completed. Eligibility Not Started, BGC is in progress

Background checks in general take longer for Iranian citizens due to lack of sharing of information with Canada and their partners. Waiting multiple months is not unusual.

Now is almost near to processing time which is 80 days! I applied through old GCKey portal, Do you think better to re-apply through new portal or just wait ...?

No advantage to re-applying, the same processing still has to be followed regardless of the way the app was filed. As mentioned before, it looks like they are processing it,,and processing times are averages, it isn't a guarantee. You can send a web form but that won't speed up your processing, you will probably just be told it is in process. If you think that will give you some peace of mind to confirm it then go ahead once the 80 days has passed.
