22nd sep: Postal received by BLS (purolator tracking)
26th sep: BLS acknowledgement email
29th sep: Application date on BLS portal
16th oct: acknowledgement on OCI website


Self and spouse OCI applications:
Oct 16th: Postal received by BLS (Purolator tracking)
No email acknowledgement yet from BLS Called them and they asked to wait another 5 days and then check.

Minor Oci application
16th october: acknowledgement
06 november: processed and dispatched at Delhi, received at Toronto

Self and spouse oci applications:
Oct 16th: Postal received by BLS
Oct 28th: application date on BLS portal

Ottawa is special The last one gets updated after 4 days and same day BLS will change to "Passport ready For Collection after OCI stamping"

No idea about Ottawa -- they appear to be in a different league.
Document received has no entry? About 15 years ago it used to take 2 weeks for dispatch to receive (physically dispatched).
That said 02 Nov and 03 Nov may be the same day as dates are in IST and it changes at 2:30pm (now 1:30 pm).

Received OCI status update today as processed, seems like all the September 29th applicants are receiving today. No update on the BLS side of the website though:

Hoping to see if I can pick up from BLS Toronto, any recent experiences with this?

Also, another question. Anyone travel with a 5 year e-visa applied back in 2020? I'm hoping this e-visa is still valid, but some BLS guy told me 10 year e-visa's were banned. So just wanted to double check if anyone had any issues with the 5 year e-visa's.

After the covid years, in 2022, most visa's (except the 10 year ones) got restored, but e-visa's (which are not visa, but ETA) issued prior to March 2020 were not restored that time. Ask the consulate before you travel -- do not depend on BLS hearsay one way or other.

Significant movement today on the applications acknowledged on Oct 16. So heartening to see. Toronto tracker has only 2 applications with no updates and I'm hoping that's because those folks haven't reported them yet and not because there isn't anything to report.

Just a few more days to go, personally (Oct 19/20). Can't wait for this week to end
