IMM 0008 & IMM 1344

Hello,

I am currently working with my spouse to complete the forms IMM 1344 and IMM 0008 in order to process her Family Class immigration application. I am confused about the Form IMM 0008. It says you must complete these digital forms online and she is able to do that as well as type her name at the bottom in the signature panel.

However, in the consent to release information to provinces she is not able to type her name or add a text box to put her name in. My question is, since these forms are digital and must be validated after signature (typing name) do we need to print it after that and she will hand write her name on the consent box??

Or does it need to be completed (not signed), printed and then the consent and signature must be done by hand??

Also for the IMM 1344 we have just typed our name in and validated the form as it says win the form that typing name is equivalent to signing. Has anyone faced any issues recently doing this process?

Hi I have question for IMM 0008 as well. as My spouse is trying write her father's name with in English and the native language that's all together very long that's why the box does not allow it to complete it. Should I create a word file and write her father's name with the native language and submit or the officer will understand?

Hi I have same question. I have typed names in 1344, would these suffice or do we have to print sign and then upload. Secondly 0008 and 5604 do not have a signature because it is in online portal, what do we have to do? kindly help ASAP. Thank you in advance.

1344, you simply type your name as per passport and then hit validate. As long as you see the 5 barcodes at the end, you have completed the document. For 0008, 5406, 5669 and 5562, there is no signature on the form. You fill in the application and sign the declaration at the end of the online application which is your signature for all those documents

Hello again dear. I submitted my son's PR application in mid- August and right after two months i was asked to make few changes and then send application. i did it and ofcourse this time the file will again take same amount of time. I re-sent the application on NOV 6 and got acknowledgment of submission. Today 16 DEC i got an email correspondence from cic stating "This confirms that your application to sponsor a member of the family class has been received by CIC on NOV 6, 2023 on behalf of your son" but this time this email correspondence has a UCI NUMBER AND AN APPLICATION number. would you be kind enough to tell me what does this mean?
i assume this is not the sponsorship approval? what is it and how long will it take to get sponsorship approval? what does this email refer to? and how long will i have to wait for confirmation of sponsorship approval? Also i tried to link the application no and uci number with online portal but it didnt work.
