I have found out afterwards that unemployed have a 'negative' connotation is English and IRCC would prefer the wording 'not working '.

Could this jeopardize my application as IRCC might worry that I am on benefits whereas I am living off my savings? I am the PA.

This doesn't matter at all. Don't send a webform.

Unfortunately, I have already sent the webform, will it have a negative impact?

I don't think it will have a negative impact. But don't send any further webforms for stuff like this. These kinds of updates are irrelevant and you may unintentionally create delays when you send irrelevant updates.

ok, so I should send them an update only if the following changes?
  • mailing address;
  • telephone numbers;
  • e-mail address.

Honestly just ask here. Changes of family composition, other significant info as well.

You can actually still get employment insurance benefits if you worked in Canada. You paid for EI while working, so it's not the kind of social assistance benefit that is not ok.
