If you are sponsoring your Parents you do NOT need their birth certificates. You need only your birth certificate to prove you are their child. You need your parent's marriage certificate to prove their relationship.Hello Everyone,
I got invitation for my parents PR but my parents do not have birth certificates. Can we make Affidavit for that and attach passport copy plus 10th certificate? will that suffice the date of birth requirement? Thank you all.
Yes can. Birth certificate is document which does not need to have a validity/expiry date. You can still use your old birth certificate.I(sponsor) have a birth certificate 10 years ago(I used that for my PR application), can I still use this doc for PGP now? thanks
Hi. I have same confusion. Did you get an answer for your questions. Please share.Hi everyone, finally got the golden email today after waiting 3 years. I opened the portal and one of the required documents is "Birth Certificates". It doesn't say anywhere whether they need my (sponsor) birth certificate or whether my parents'. If someone can please clarify this, it would be great. Thanks in advance.

IMM 5772 Guide Pg#133 says "If you don’t have access to a birth certificate for someone you’responsoring, or the one you have doesn’t clearly show your relationship(for example, a name is incorrect), you can give a document that showsthe relationship between you and your family member along with aletter of explanation. You should also still include a copy of your birthcertificate."Not sure if this is already answered
In my bc, father and mothers last name are initialed. Should I submit a loe or an affidavit for this?
Hey folks,
I have a few questions regarding uploading passports/travel docs, I would really appreciate if someone could help me with them.
- In "travel documents and passports" section of supporting docs, do we have to include only sponsor/co-sponsors' passports and not the person being sponsored?
- Should passports of person to be sponsored be included in the "additional supporting documents" section?
- For person being sponsored, should we include all pages of their valid/current passport even if it's brand new with no stamps? (do you recommend to additionally include their most recent expired passport with stamps as well?)
