I am just wondering if there is anyone here with same timeline as mine.
Applied as a refugee but was not accepted. submitted H&C since 2021 dec.
We received your application for permanent residence on December 23, 2021.
We started processing your application on April 22, 2022.
The criminality assessment is in process.
Eligibility, security and medical assessments have not been initiated.
When i called IRCC all they said is criminality in progress and no further information is required from you.
I am concerned nothing has been done and for the record, i have no criminal record of any sort.
Could it be that the officer just decided to suspend the application or what?
Any insight in regard to the above will be appreciated.
May we all have a cause to celebrate at the end of it all, to be honest this process is stressful.

Wow bro you received your letter 1 day after mine. I recommend you contact your lawyer and get the refusal notes.
You should request GCMS notes. You’ll have more details about your application than just calling IRCC. It costs only $5.
Also, get your MP involved or/and talk to your lawyer and apply for a Writ of Mandamus.
After my MP contacted them , below was the response we got.
The application is open and in progress.
Criminality is in progress
Eligibility, security and medical assessments have not been started.
The office is aware of the processing times and recently responded to your enquiry on Aug 31, 2023 that application is in queue for review, processing times are unavailable at the moment.
There are no outstanding requests at this time.
I have also requested for GCMS notes since September 12th but i am yet to receive any update. I sent an email to ATIP-AIPRP@cic.gc.ca today and await further update.
My Application is started processing on April 12, 2023 and in my last call last week, the officer told me that they've started the eligibility and security check, while from my other call in August they just told me that the security check has started. Of course, this data is for the Vancouver office and by some weeks back and forth may be different officer to officer.
Does anyone has any idea how long elligibility check may takes time?
