My parents have date of acknowledgement sept28 on the oci website. Vancouver jurisdiction - any idea when they could receive an update?

About 35 days from Ack to get processed, a few more days to get it in hand.

Did anyone have applied for OCI with no place of birth written on their Canadian passport?

If yes, what have you mentioned on the OCI application where it’s mandatory to input the place of birth?

You will have the next escalation between the 2 countries with one country blaming Canada that it is sending agents without place of birth mentioned on it...

Only during consulate working hours though the time stamps are in IST.

As of now same as before with a slight slowdown likely due to increased applications. You can follow timeline of others on trackers for the three jurisdictions shared around here.

In my opinion there should some update in BLS site by now for sure. I can’t really speak for Vancouver jurisdiction, but I remember seeing a post earlier about someone maintaining a sheet for Vancouver applications. Search for that and see if you are able to track timelines. I do think you need to call or go to BLS and check why there are no updates on your app yet. wish you the best.

I will look the sheet specifically for Vancouver jurisdiction.I called BLS yesterday and in response they said we create a request to our department ahead to give an update on your application.They told me to wait for 24-48 hours for the update.I will try to call them again on Monday.

I applied for Oci for my 2 minor daughters.
Bls tracking is processing at consulate. No records on Oci website. Date of application on bls is Oct 11.
Does this mean application is accepted or they might ask for more info?

SC should come in a month if not earlier. Any type of appt. is fine. Its used only to get into the office.

are you sure because on appointment confirmation page it also says type of application which will be passport in that case but actual work will be oci...

OCI for minor child. Dad (myself has OCI already). Walk in at Brampton

Date of submission at Brampton: Oct 18 2023
BLS tracking status: Under processing at CGI
OCI status: No records found

How busy the line was for walking in brampton?
Also which did you go?
Asking because news saying people are since 4am and some people had to wait overnight also..

Application Data Assigned by BLS: 19th Oct
Application Status changed to "Processing at Consulate General" on BLS Website: 20th Oct

Hi.. For oci for minor kid, do we need to send any original document like original passport or original birth certificate? Or everything is just self attested copy of documents?
