About Eligibility For Canadian Citizenship

Hi Everyone,

I'm a PR and will apply soon for Canadian Citizenship but my credit is very low because I have too much debt and couldn't pay my rent for 5 months because I lost my job and could not find a job but study full time. Can I still apply for Canadian citizenship or do I have to pay all my debts first and improve my credit then I can apply? I mean is my situation will affect my eligibility for citizenship? Please help me with the answer.
