Hello, I walked in to BLS bramton for OCI renwel (after turning 20) On September 8th
Date of ACK - September 25th 2023
How long has it been taking recently?

I have a flight October 22nd. What are my chances of getting my new OCI Card?
Can I travel with a copy of my old OCI and old passport ?

Hi, Same i have applied for OCI renewal on sept 5th and ACK on sept 15th. Still for me no update.

walkin application Edmonton branch on `10th Oct. OCI website is not updated. "No records found". Any idea when it will get updated in OCI site. Is there any chance to get OCI before 2nd week of Dec ?

Seriously they need to restore Evisas soon.. My flights are booked for 27th Oct and its an urgent trip and I know without Evisa, I have no hope in receiving OCI by that time (ack date Oct 5th) but at the same time I don't even know what should be my rescheduled day.. I decided to change tickets on 24th oct and praying by that time they restore Evisa..

Yeah seems quite unlikely that they'd restore E-visa anytime soon! I had my travel plans for Oct end but canceled tickets (Of course OCI application for my kids was just filed, postal application delivered to BLS on 11 Oct).. there has been no news whatsoever on e-visas and there is unlikely to be one soon it seems..

I heard one BLS agent saying that it will open from Oct 20th till Oct 26th.

Dont say that Lets keep our hope high and keep praying they do restore evisa soon so that we all can continue with our travel plans

I will be applying for my one year old son’s application but I have only birth certificate with parents information not, statement of live birth. Will they accept birth certificate?

What is the status at BLS site? Once it shows up on OCI site (Acknowledged) about 35 days in Vancouver jurusdiction plus about a week to get dispatched. You ccould get it by end of Nov.

While praying can do wonders to mental health, the best action would be to get relatives in India lobby their MPs and govt. Some Indian MPs have been trying, but most efforts are localized from some regions. A wider push could make a difference.

with my experience, for Vancouver, it took around 32 days from the acknowledgement to processed.

While praying can do wonders to mental health, the best action would be to get relatives in India lobby their MPs and govt. Some Indian MPs have been trying, but most efforts are localized from some regions. A wider push could make a difference.

It potentially could but I feel it is a long shot! The situation is fairly grim and it would take a big step from both sides to re-start this..

@eas2lv I think you are maintaining tracker for OCI from Toronto/Brampton. Right? If yes, its just a suggestion that kindly add one column of number of days from Ack to processed because thats the most crucial time in getting OCI processed. Rest , others can suggest if its required or not.
