Post Graduation Work Permit from Outside Canada

I've recently completed my studies and just after next day of my final exam I had to travel to India due to demise of my grandfather. Now I'm waiting for my graudation documents from my college. What I'm thinking is to apply PGWP from India because I can see the option when doing application whether you're in Canada or outside Canada.
Need suggestions on this what to do. I lost my job 2 months back and haven't found one since then.
Question is will I get any sort of rejection if I apply PGWP from India?
Also will I get implied status so I can start searching Job from india. Because I'm from IT and have been working remotely in Canada as well from a foreign country as a Software Engineer, plus I was working in security in Canada as well.
Please suggest what to do should I go back to Canada or should I apply from here and find a job from here itself and then go back?

Question is will I get any sort of rejection if I apply PGWP from India? PGWP does not need a job mandatory - As long as you maintained student status and eligible, you should get it approved. However if you do not have a TRV, you should apply TRV after PGWP to enter Canada - All this is going to take a couple of months.
