If it is all coming down to funds, I can't show em in GIC due to its limitations, I can show em in bank statements, would that suffice? Currently I have 10k for 1st year education and 20k of GIC. I shall add another 23k + 20k in her account statement, would that be enough?

I am struggling with ties back home, that could be the most probable reason of visa decline, if not finances. She has property, valuables and parents back home. I can get a letter from her employer supporting her education and willing to employ her back, thats pretty much it.
No the other reason is that program isn’t relevant to education and doesn’t expand on Masters and not relevant to education. Taking a program that only requires post secondary and not a post graduate program.

right, but the thing for trades is that you don't need any college degree for them, say you want to be a welder or a plumber there is no degree that leads towards that path, its only such courses and diplomas that let you polish your skills. Say we have masters in Food Science or Nutritional Sciences which even remotely don't train you for the kitchen.

Why are you discussing trades? This is about expanding on her Masters, which she clearly is not. So you need to show what certification she will get with her Canadian diploma in her home country. For Canada, Red Seal can be acquired by apprenticeship. You may not need a diploma, but years of apprenticeship which she cannot get in Canada.

Cook is a trade/ skill, thats what she has been doing for a while now and needs to get some formal education in order to make it worth. Red seal require apprentinceship, apprentinceship require some formal education in the field. You can't clear the red seal unless you have the theorotical knowledge of the field as well. What else can be a pathway of formal education for someone who wants to work as a cook or chef?

What is the pathway for her in her home country to be a chef? She shows the pathway with a Canadian diploma and then her apprenticeship in home country. In Canada, you don’t need Red Seal to work as a chef but what does Red Seal have to do with working in her home country.

Seems like she is trying to immigrate and not show certification that she needs in home country to work as a chef. If so, IRCC will know her Intent given her Masters, years of cooking experience and not trying to take any education in home country over 13 years.

Home country doesn't even have a proper institute for any kind of culinary skills, some 4/5 star hotels run some workshops which barely last a week or so. Every country has almost all the formal education pathways but still students opt for different countries and in her case the exposure to international cuisine and the experience is an add-on.
If there is no formal pathway for education in the home country, what are her options?

Apply for a study permit and see what happens.

Hi,
giving the student stream a shot, my wife is applying as a student via SDS stream
39 Years old Female
Msc in Biology (2009)
Switched to Culinary field since last 13 years
Applying for Culinary Diploma (2 years) from a Polytechnic College as universitites don't offer this course
Herself, me and 3 kids are supposed to move along her (she can't travel alone, so going there and apply
SDS CAD 10000 + GIC CAD 20000
Property worth around CAD 22000 is in her name
Tax returns of the year 2022-23 showing that her net worth is around CAD 200000 (not sure if we should do this or not as almost all the amount is already being used for GIC)
Not attaching a bank statement as we don't have amount in our accounts for more than 2 months

What else can I provide to strengthen our case?

Thankin advance for your guidance & time :)
Hi. My sister is 36 years old. She applied on Sept 7 for herself and her 3 year old son under SDS for Jan 2024 intake. And they both got approved on Oct 10.

That is amazing, so apart from the routine university fee, GIC and SOP, what else did she attach with her application?
